Cindi & Mike had an elegant day at a NH winery called LaBelle Winery. Loved their Summer palette. Marina DeMarco, Master Wedding Associate, had fun following those two around all day. Congratulations Cindi & Mike!

Beautiful May day in York Harbor for Janice & Dennis. Marina DeMarco of Geneve Hoffman Photography captured all the lovely details and moments of their day. Stage Neck Inn is one of our favorite locations - it doesn´t get much better than the stunning North Atlantic cliff views and classy setting. Congratulations Janice & Dennis!

Michelle Rose at Minka Fine Flowers (formerly Blooms) and I wanted to create the feeling of being inside a conversatory in the middle of Winter...that warm, verdant, steaming idea of flowers in bloom on a cold Winter´s Day. Michelle wanted rich brocades, dark palettes of red & black, modern pops with gold bold patterns...hint of art deco. She was also inspired by the Fall & Winter 2015 collections of haute couture designers...using butterflies and lush florals and deep reds, pinks--but with a modern twist.
Andrea´s Bridal provided the uber romantic pink flowing wedding dress...how can we not have fun with this idea? We mingled this light as air pink palette with rich, deep red velvets to give it a little edgy twist. Styling makes a huge difference for your look--whether it be a real wedding day or an inspiration shoot.
Jacki Norrie of Tresses and Nicole Masterson of Just Bee got the look just right...creamy complexions, dark lips, romantic loose up do--but all feels very modern and now. It´s fun to think outside the box sometimes...we wanted our bride to be gorgeously romantic...lost in the fantasy of a garden scene in the dead of winter.
Jen & Rachel over at Clay Hill Farm were our original inspiration--we all agreed it was time to think about Winter weddings in Maine. Michelle and I were inspired by the rich, old world colors and textures of the venue. We had never seen a Winter wedding there--so we really got to play and rethink the entire space. We decided to turn the fireplace area into the ceremony area--with an amazing view of the bird sanctuary outside.
Ellen Braley of El´s cards and Gus & Ruby provided the art deco and inspired stationery. Personal touches like hand done calligraphy add a special, personal touch. Gayle Forte at Let Them Eat Cake created the gorgeously rich cake design...people comment on that cake all the time--it worked perfect in our theme.
Our models, Zoe & Bear, added an extra rich dimension--as they were engaged at the time. They graciously allowed us to play dress up--and we all had fun with it.
We´re so lucky to have all this talent right in our Southern Maine backyard! We assembled another dream team for this shoot...and WellWed magazine decided to pick it up in a 4 page spread in their 2015 edition. See below for all the details.

I personally love Winter weddings in New England. The quiet and cool serene landscape inspires me--and plus, everyone is ready to whoop it up in those long Winter nights. My nephew Greg and his new bride Abbey pulled off the most glorious day. The peacock blue palette and woodland details complimented the NH Lakes region in Winter perfectly. They were the most gracious hosts too...styled everyone out all weekend long. I couldn´t imagine a more perfect spot for a wedding anytime of year than Church Landing.
Hope you enjoy a peek at their day. Details to follow...
