Welcome to Geneve Hoffman Photography and Lumina Portrait!
"The camera makes everyone a tourist in other people´s reality, and eventually in one´s own."   Susan Sontag.

This blog is a complement to my two other photography websites, but its function is quite different.  This is an interactive spot to explore, share, exhibit, research, critique, and generally hang out.  I´ll be posting almost daily...everything from highlights of each photo shoot to cool things I find on the web to searching out the most divine teas in the world (I am a tea geek, actually I´m a geek in general...as you will soon find out).  So my point?  With this blog, you get the whole shebang...lock, stock and smoking 70-200 F2.8 (camera humor...lame, I know).  Thanks for stopping by, and let´s start chatting!

Details...

Flowers:  Katherine´s Garden, York Maine (also Aunt of the Groom!)
Reception: York Harbor Inn, York Harbor, Maine
Ceremony: Hartley Mason Reserve, York Harbor, Maine
Dj/Entertainment: Clark Sillery of Fred Pappalardo Entertainment
Cake: Let Them Eat Cake, York Maine

This couple was one of the kindest, most gracious I´ve ever worked with.  Their wedding palette was a beautiful burnt orange palette.  It was a perfect, blue sky October Maine day.  Couple is from New York City, but chose York because the groom spent many Summers in York at his grandmother´s house (his connection to Kate Henderson of Katherine´s Garden--Stephen´s first cousin is Kate´s son...deep York ties!).  They are planning a separate reception in California as well for the bride´s family and friends.  Groom´s family has an interesting history...his paternal grandfather is I.M. Pei, who was in attendance.  Both sides of the family, and the couple, were a pleasure to document.  Looking forward to the album collaboration for many reasons, the least of which is the amazing crisp October light we had all day.  Best wishes to Elizabeth & Stephen!
